10.6.3: The Empire Strikes Back. Can you HEAR the soundtrack?
Hello dear users, subscribers, watchers, lovers, haters, humans and self proclamed lord readers of this blog.

As we see, 10.6.3 has bringed us many fixes, and im content to say that Mac Bios users can press the UPDATE Button without being afraid, but here comes the problem:
The new AppleHDA kills a sweet function of this bios: the half audio fix, now apple looks more deepely under our systems to know what device we are using.
And this is the kind of edition that winhex can do to the BIOS main module as much as Hexfiend done to the already googable hex edited kext. The difference is that now i will have to edit 39 x 2 (2 screen sizes to each bios, total 78) main modules with the info. Trials before this with the lab rat number 1 (me) did bring nothing but pain, and my focus was now really on speedstep & reboot, i was just expecting some alphas to finish up.
Id like to ask G4 and G2 alpha testers to keep the feedback closed as stated on the mail you received: the bios you recieved is not final, so dont talk about it on forums, blogs, etc… its not to hide information, is to not to confuse people with informations that will be wrong (well we do hope it will so, dont we?) when final versions come along.
I had already been informed about the 10.6.3 sound issue, and only now im being able to see the thing in my own machine. Editing the main module of all boards will be for time being something I will have to do while away from profane normal life (still not a lord or anything, nor even a monk, maybe only a brat monkey), so im happy that in Brazil this friday is a holyday and i wont work, and will probably be at home looking at my machine =D .
Portability will still be the focus now that I have compiled 17 (x2 = 34) Bios files, i pretend to release the as-are 10.6.2 compatible bioses (and also compatible with 10.6.3 about everything but audio) and focus on my own board as the rat for now. It looks like the info is not ONLY in the main module, and I have an idea that the Empire wont like about this, and was holding it for many reasons, but lets say the black screen between AHCI/RAID and your bootloader may look different in a month or two. Let me stop talking about it here.
Thats it, just a long tweet to say that I share with you all the love and hate for 10.6.3, and expect all kinds of feedbacks. And that you all should for now use the fixed kext for your mobo as everyone is doing.
Thanks for being so nice everyone!
