For anyone who lost sound on ALC-888: 1- Go to the site download area and download tmongkol alc 888 “10.6.3+” patched kext 2- Manually put it over /System/Library/Extensions 3- USE DISK UTILITY TO REPAIR PERMISSIONS 4- Open terminal and type: sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions 5- Reboot 6- Enjoy.
